SILFLEX® is provides a watertight, self-extinguish to fire, flexible, expansion joint system, which will provide maximum movement capabilities to achieve optimum results in field applications. SILFLEX® a resilient, UV stable, preformed, impermeable, flexible, expansion joint material. This material shall consist of a low density, closed cell, cross-linked, polyethylene, copolymer, non-extrudable foam. Cell generation is achieved by being physically blown using nitrogen. SILFLEX® is bonded to the substrate using a two-part, 100% solid modified epoxy. The substrate shall be poured in place concrete, precast concrete or steel.
